Our vision is to make Lizzy’s a place where fresh food, creativity and community come together. As a locally owned restaurant in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, we serve made-to-order burgers, cheesesteaks, sandwiches, slow-smoked BBQ, comfort-food favorites and unforgettable ice cream creations.
We believe every guest should be able to enjoy great food “The Way You Like It.” Whether you’re visiting the restaurant, feeding your family or planning catering for a workplace, party or special event, our promise remains the same: welcoming service, generous portions and quality food made with care.
our story
In 2019, chef and owner Michael Thorne moved to the Greencastle area to be closer to family. With years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industries, Mike saw an opportunity to create a local restaurant centered around fresh ingredients, made-from-scratch recipes and plenty of choices.
Lizzy’s location has been part of the community’s dining history for decades, from its early days as Hill Crest Restaurant to the Lizzy’s that guests know today. Mike’s goal has been to respect that history while bringing new energy, creativity and flavor to the property.
Since then, Lizzy’s has grown beyond a neighborhood restaurant. Today, we serve made-to-order burgers, cheesesteaks, sandwiches, slow-smoked BBQ and ice cream while also providing catering, food-truck service and mobile ice cream experiences for gatherings throughout Greencastle, Franklin County and the surrounding Cumberland Valley.
Through every stage of that growth, Lizzy’s remains committed to its team, its guests and the community that continues to support us.
We are currently in the process of renovating the interior to give a fresh new look to your dining experience. From new tables and floors to a new sign out front, we are ready and eager to continue our story with you.
